Thank you for the opportunity to share important facts about Sodexo and our commitment to our clients, their customers and the communities where we do business as well as our employees across the United States.
Delicious, Nutritious and Safe Food
Sodexo is committed to providing high-quality, delicious and nutritious food. Most importantly, we maintain strict adherence to food safety procedures and training. We take great pride in our performance, having been named a recipient of the International Association for Food Protection’s (IAFP) prestigious Black Pearl Award for excellence in food safety and quality.
We welcome health inspections across our 13,000 locations in the United States. If on occasion those inspections reveal issues that are not up to specific standards, we take immediate action to correct those areas, often before the inspector leaves the location.
When possible, Sodexo sources its dairy, bakery and a significant amount of seasonal fruits and vegetables from local and regional farms when possible, provided that they meet our food safety guidelines and supplier code of conduct.
Jobs and Opportunity
We work continuously to engage our employees, provide a safe, open and inclusive workplace, and offer meaningful wages, benefits and resources. For employees seeking career advancement, we offer training and development. Last year, in the U.S., Sodexo promoted more than 500 hourly employees into manager positions.
For employees who are interested in flexible work arrangements, Sodexo offers schedule adjustments, job sharing to alternative office locations. In fact, Sodexo was recently named to Flex Job’s Top 100 Companies for Remote Workers.
Sodexo's Promise of Respect and Fair Treatment guarantees employees the right to voice concerns or complaints and be heard with respect, without discrimination and without retaliation.
Sodexo has built positive, constructive and successful working relationships with multiple labor unions that represent our employees through collective bargaining agreements. We respect the rights of our employees to unionize or not to unionize, as they choose.
Diversity & Inclusion
Sodexo is consistently recognized among all companies in North America as a best place to work for minorities, multicultural women, veterans, and people with disabilities. This year DiversityInc included Sodexo in its Hall of Fame after the company’s unprecedented appearance on its best places to work list for 10 consecutive years. Working Mother magazine recognized Sodexo as one of America’s Best Companies for Hourly Workers for eight consecutive years.
Justice Business
Sodexo does not provide prison/corrections services in the United States. For countries in which we do provide these services, Sodexo has been engaged since 1987 in improving living conditions for inmates, especially in the areas of hygiene, health and balanced diets, and in providing training and jobs programs to help them reintegrate with mainstream society upon release. Sodexo provides justice services to governments in countries that do not have a death penalty.
